Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 108th Indian Science Congress organized at Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University on 3rd January-2023 via video conference. Prime Minister Modi will share his thoughts on women empowerment and other issues.

The main theme of this year's ISC is 'Science and Technology for Sustainable Development with Women Empowerment', the Prime Minister's Office said on Sunday. In the meantime, the issue of increasing the number of women at the highest levels of education, research and industry can be discussed. The Congress will discuss increasing the number of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields. Also women's equal participation in education, research opportunities and economic participation can be discussed.

Child Science Congress will also be organized

A special program will be organized by eminent women scientists to highlight the contribution of women in the field of science and technology. Besides, many other programs will also be held. Children's Science Congress will also be held at ISC. This program will be held to develop interest in the world of science among children. Farmer Science Congress will be organized to attract youth towards agriculture and bio-economy. Tribal Science Congress will showcase the indigenous ancient knowledge and practices of tribal society. Meanwhile, the first program of the Indian Science Congress was held in 1914.
