( PTI) Jodhpur ,dt. 22

Rajasthan High Court has given a big shock to Robert Vadra, husband of Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi. The court rejected the plea seeking quashing of the case filed against him and his mother Marin Vadra. The case was filed by the ED on allegations of money laundering in land purchase by Vadra's company in Bikaner.

However, Rajasthan High Court Justice PS Bhati has granted two weeks' protection against his arrest so that he can appeal to the higher court.

Vadra, the husband of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, has been accused of selling 275 bigha land in Kolayat area of Bikaner for 72 lakh rupees after making a profit of 625%.

ED questioned Robert Vadra and Marin Vadra in this case in 2019. Later, he was granted interim bail by the court. The ED had filed a money laundering case in 2016 based on the FIR of the state police.

The ED had issued summons to Skylight Hospitality LLP partners Robert Vadra and his mother Marine Vadra in November 2018. However, none of the two appeared before the agency.
