Big blow to Congress in MP, Kamal Nath's once close ally joins BJP

- Narendra Singh Saluja was removed from every post due to the controversy that arose after the Indore Khalsa College felicitation ceremony.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress has suffered a major setback. Manata Narendra Singh Salooja, once a close associate of former Chief Minister and State Congress President Kamal Nath, has joined the BJP. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has given them membership.

This setback has come to the Congress at a time when the party's Bharat Jodo Yatra under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi has entered the state.

The origin is that Kamal Nath removed Saluja from all posts after a controversy arose at an honor function of the Khalsa College in Indore. So it is believed that Risai's Narendra Singh Saluja took this step.

Some are citing the incident as a ploy to reduce the impact of Rahul Gandhi's walk.

It may be mentioned that former Chief Minister Kamal Nath was once considered close, he was also his media co-ordinator.

They were recently removed from all posts by Kamal Nath. It so happened that Kamal Nath was honored in a function held at the Khalsa Stadium on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti at the Khalsa College in Indore. After that, when Kamalnath went out of the stadium after the program was over, famed singer Manpreet Singh Kanpuri lashed out at the organizers by recalling the anti-Sikh riots of 1984 as Kamalnath left. The stadium was then cleaned with milk and water. The organizers put up banners that read Don't Forget 1984 along with posters Hang Kamal Nath.
