After China-Taiwan, Iran-Arabia, conflict between Greece-Turkey is emerging.

- As the Russia-Ukraine war escalates

- Both are members of NATO, but animosity between the two, centuries old, is rekindling swords over dominance of the Aegean-Sea.

Jones, New Delhi: Greece and Turkey, the two powerhouses of the North-Atlantic Treaty-Organization NATO, are tussling over dominance of the Aegean Sea. Both these Countries joined NATO in 1952. After that, the relationship was good for several years. But as tensions between the two countries over control of the Aegean Sea, a rift in the Mediterranean Sea, have escalated to a war, intense political turmoil has begun at NATO's headquarters in Brussels.

In fact, these two countries and the seas between them, the Aegean Sea, are strategically important. These countries also have strong military strength. Greece has decided to spend more than a percentage of its GDP on defense as the dispute with Turkey begins. Greece's allocation is the highest among other Nato Countries as a percentage of GDP/defense budget of other NATO countries.

The most worrisome thing is that it is well known that there was a huge conflict going on between the two countries since before 1453.

Greece emphasizes air force and navy. After 2020 it has also bought 24 Rafale-jets and 4th and 5th generation multi-role-fires from France. Which is considered more capable than Turkish planes, and better in terms of technique. It is updating 84 of its F-16 fighter jets with the new technology Viber-configuration. Israel has also installed iron domes to counter large drones in Turkey.

Turkey has also made full preparations. However, America has asked it not to give F-35, fire jet. F-16 has also not asked to be upgraded.

Turkey is far ahead in developing drones. Turkey has the largest military force (troops) among NATO countries after the United States. While Greece is second only to America in the number of tanks and cannons. Turkey-Greece have equal air forces, but have more warships than Greece. Turkey has also struck a deal with Germany to buy similar submarines to counter Greece's Type-214 submarines.

In short, both the countries are facing each other with swords drawn. At NOTA's headquarters, there is constant diplomatic activity going on to prevent a flare-up between the two. Let's see what happens in the coming days.
