New Delhi: Corona has started to scare again. A sub Variant of the Omicron variant has raised concerns. Now another sub variant of Omicron XBB has come up. Due to this, the fear of corona wave has increased not only in India but in many countries of the world. Meanwhile, World Health Organization Chief Scientist Dr. Soumya Swaminathan has warned that XBB may cause corona wave in many countries of the world. XBB is a sub-lineage of Omicron formed by combining BJ Dot One and BA Dot Two Dot 75.
Hence it is called a recombinant variant. Thus XBB One is a sub lineage of XBB. Corona cases have started increasing in Britain, America and Singapore. Lockdown has started to be imposed again in many cities of China.
Experts believe that XBB may be the reason for the surge in corona cases. XBB and XBB One have been found in Singapore, Bangladesh, Europe and North America. XBB has already entered India as well.
The cases of Corona are increasing continuously in Singapore. Recombinant variants are formed when two or more viruses infect a cell at the same time. Although infection with recombinants is rare, infection can still occur.
So far, 18 patients of the XBB variant of Corona have been exposed in Maharashtra. 13 patients are from Pune. Two patients each from Nagpur and Thane and one from Akola.
In addition to XBB, one patient was also infected with BQ One and BA Two Three Twenty. The patient was seen from September 24 to October 11. The worrying thing is that fifteen out of 20 had taken corona vaccine. While the report of five is yet to come. Biopic's assistant professor at Peking University believes that XBB can select a variant that deceives the antibody.
