Srinagar: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah on Monday made a statement regarding target killing, he said that BJP was earlier making claims that target killing is taking place in Jammu and Kashmir due to Article 370. At present, 370 has been removed, then why these kinds of attacks are still taking place, asked Farooq Abdullah.
Jammu and Kashmir leader Farooq Abdullah recently visited Reasi district, where he made this statement while talking to reporters. When reporters questioned him about the target killing of Kashmiri Pandits and others in Jammu and Kashmir, he said that target killing will not stop until justice is done. Even though four years have passed since the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, people are being killed in the valley.
On the other hand, dharna demonstrations are being held by a large number of Pandits in Jammu and Kashmir against the killing of Kashmiri Pandits. The Srinagar office of the Hurriyat Conference was besieged by Kashmiri Pandits on Monday. A large number of Kashmiri Pandits gathered outside the Hurriyat office of Srinagar-based separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. Currently Kashmiri Pandits are being killed openly in Jammu and Kashmir while on the other hand the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir are sitting silently. Amidst this situation, Kashmiri Pandits are getting angry about such leaders.
