Ramlila is famous in Faridabad not in Hindi or Sanskrit but in Urdu language. This Ramleela is called Urdu Ramleela as there are plenty of Urdu dialogues. The surprising thing is that this Ramlila started in Pakistan before independence. Before Partition, Ramlila with Urdu lyrics was played a lot in Lahore. According to the artists of this Ram Leela Committee, our forefathers brought this script with Urdu words when they came here from Pakistan.

Which has maintained this tradition by keeping intact the script of Ramayana performed in Lahore at that time. However, since the original Urdu Ramlila is difficult, its words have been slightly modified to include colloquial and all-understandable practical words. Many actors of the new generation were not used to speaking the dialogues of Ramleela in Urdu, but now they have got the hang of it. Urdu words like maut ka talib hoon mai, meri labo pe jaan hai, ghadi ka musafir aap ka mehman hai are no longer difficult to speak.

According to the information received, the script of Urdu Ramayana was written 70 years ago by a Hindi Punjabi named Jaswant Singh. Hence the Ramlila Committee of Faridabad wants to maintain this tradition. Artists believe that people believe that today's generation does not know Urdu as learning Urdu is too difficult to understand, similarly they do not know Sanskrit. Hence it is necessary to introduce these two languages ​​simultaneously.
