The Chinese Air Force is continuously deploying two dozen or more frontline aircraft near the eastern Ladakh border. The Chinese Air Force now has 25 of its front-line fighter jets deployed at Houghton Airport, including its J-11 and J-20 fighter jets.

China had earlier deployed contingents of MiG-21 fighter jets. But now it has been converted into a large number of more capable and sophisticated aircraft. The Chinese Air Force is also building airfields close to Indian airspace that may allow you to conduct low-altitude missions. General Charles A. Flynn of the U.S. Pacific Army recently said that the level of Chinese activity is eye-opening. "I think the foundations being laid in Western theater command are dangerous," he said.

Along with Hotan, Indian agencies are also monitoring PLAAF's Gar Gunsa, Kashghar, Hoping, Dakonka, Dzong, Linzi, and Pangat airbases in the Xinjiang and Tibet region.

India is ready to face China's tragedy

The Chinese PLAAF (People's Liberation Army Air Force) is currently upgrading these locations with the construction of rigid shelters, lengthening of runways and deployment of additional manpower for further operations. The Indian side has also stepped up its preparations in view of the increasing activities of Chinese forces in the LAC border area.
