BJP announces candidates for Legislative Council elections, Keshav Prasad Maurya and several other ministers get seats


- Elections for 13 MLC seats in the state will be held on June 20 for which the nomination process has already started.

Lucknow, Ta. 08 June 2022, Wednesday

BJP has announced 9 candidates for the UP Assembly elections. The party has decided to send all the ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, to the Legislative Council.

Apart from Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad, the party has fielded Chaudhry Bhupendra Singh, Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu, JPS Rathore, Narendra Kashyap, Jaswant Saini, Danish Azad Ansari, Banwarilal Dohre and Mukesh Sharma.

Elections for 13 MLC seats in the state will be held on June 20 for which the nomination process has already started.

Apart from Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, 6 other ministers of Yogi government Bhupendra Singh, Dayashankar Dayalu Mishra, JPS Rathore, Narendra Kashyap, Jaswant Saini, Danish Azad Ansari will go to the Legislative Council.

Aparna Yadav was not given a ticket

The party has not given a ticket to Aparna Yadav, who left the Samajwadi Party and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, for the Assembly elections. Aparna Yadav left the Samajwadi Party before the UP Assembly elections and joined the BJP. Aparna Yadav is the wife of Prateek Yadav, son of Sadhana Yadav, the second wife of former Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav.
