Ukraine War: Talks between PM Modi and Putin but Ukraine annoyed by India's attitude, thus expressing dissatisfaction

Kiev, Ta. 25. Friday, February 2022

Ukraine, which is facing Russian aggression, has expressed displeasure over India's stance.

Ukraine's ambassador to India yesterday appealed to PM Modi that Russia has good relations with India and that you should hold talks with Russian President Putin to stop the war.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian Ambassador Igar Polikha has now said that he is not satisfied with India's stance. India has said that it is monitoring the situation between Ukraine and Russia but what does this statement mean.

"India is better suited than any other country to intervene in the Russia-Ukraine crisis. India has a special friendship with Russia. I don't know which leaders Putin will listen to but given the size of PM Modi, I hope that if If PM Modi speaks with conviction, then Putin will think once.

India has so far not criticized Russia's attack. India has not even mentioned Russia's attack in its statements.

After talks between Putin and PM Modi yesterday, India said that any differences between Russia and NATO should be resolved through dialogue. Modi also raised the issue of repatriation of Indians from Ukraine in his talks with Putin.
