CBSE 12th Board: Results will be decided based on 10th-11th marks


- Children who are not satisfied with the result will be given a chance to retake the exam

A 13-member Committee formed by the Cbse and ICSE boards to prepare the 12th standard marksheet submitted its report to the Supreme Court on Thursday. According to the CBSE, the final result of the 12th standard will be made on the basis of the results of the 10th, 11th and 12th pre-boards and the results will be declared on July 31.

According to CBSE, the best marks of 3 out of 5 subjects of 10th standard will be taken, similarly the average of all the subjects of 11th standard will be taken and the marks of 12th pre-board exam and practical will be taken. The result will be decided on the basis of 30% of 10th standard mark, 30% of 11th standard and 40% of 12th standard.

The CBSE told the apex court that the results committee decided the weightage on the basis of the credibility of the examination, the policy of the schools is to give more marks in the preboard, in these circumstances a result committee will be formed for each of the thousands of CBSE schools. In order to ensure that the school did not raise the mark, the committee will consider the performance of the students in the last 3 years.

The Center told the apex court that the CBSE 12th standard results would be declared by July 31. Children who are not satisfied with the result will be given an opportunity to retake the exam for which guidelines are being prepared.
