Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee brings a serious allegation of big corruption against IAS Rashmita Panda. And this has been revealed by RTI information.

In a press release, Congress provided the document of information of Right to Information (RTI) query and it has revealed that IAS officer Rashmita Panda incurred an expenditure of more than 68lakh rupees for renovation and repair of her single residential quarter.

Smt. Rashmita Panda,IAS,CEO of Rourkela Smart City Limited is also the collector of Sundargarh and former Vice-Chairman of Rourkela Development Authority [RDA], holding many crucial positions and departments.

Rashmi Ranjan Padhi from Congress party said that he had filed an RTI query seeking the information regarding the expenditure of repairing and renovation work of Qr.No. 4R/1, the govt. residence of the officer.

Bureaucrats spending lakhs for their lavish lifestyle from taxpayers money and at the same time getting all the facilities from govt. and withdrawing a big salary said Congress in a press release.

IAS Rashmita Panda has spent Rs. 4,04,471.00 only for Fixing of Mosquito net and another Rs. 4,27,711.00 for fixing of Aluminium sliding window and industrial tiles.

Rashmi Ranjan Padhi has also alleged that each Project cost was deliberately kept below Rs. 5 lakh to avoid tender process.

Here’s the detail list of expenditures
The total expenditure Rs. 68,57,950.42 has been made out of the RDA Fund from April to August 2018.

The entire Rourkela city is lacking basic amenities and officers are renovating their house in the cost of more than half crore rupees.

Now another question is, if the RTI has been received on December 2018, why it delayed to come to the news.
A demand letter for vigilance inquiry has been sent to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik & Debasis Panigrahi, Director of Vigilance.
