Maddie & Tae’s Taylor Dye is a new mom.
The country music singer welcomed her first child – a baby girl – with husband Josh Kerr on Monday and took to social media to show off their new bundle of joy to the world.
“Leighton Grace Kerr, born January 17, 2022 // she’s beautiful, strong and everything we’ve ever dreamed of,” the couple captioned a series of photos showing off the premature newborn’s tiny hand and feet. “She decided to be Capricorn like her daddy.”
“We already can’t wait for the day when we can finally bring her home,” the note added.

Another photo revealed the newborn’s stats – born at 2.42pm, weighing 2lbs 5oz.
Dye and Kerr tied the knot in February 2020 and revealed in November that they were expecting their first child in an Instagram post.

“Mommy and daddy baby Kerr are joining us at Earth’s Edge in Spring 22 and we are already so deeply in love,” the post read. “Swipe to find out what we have!”
Dye had hiccups during her pregnancy and was eventually admitted to hospital after a routine 24-week check-up.

“Today marks 1 month of hospitalization,” they wrote in the joint social media post at the time. “T went for a routine check at 24 weeks and then we were admitted straight away and have been here ever since.”

“Our sweet girl is doing great, she’s just a little more excited than she’s ready to be in the world,” they each continued.
“It hasn’t been easy, but we lean on God and trust His plan. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers,” the couple concluded.

Representatives for the pair did not immediately respond to TBEN News’ request for comment.
