In a significant move, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) lifted the age cap on purchasing Health Insurance policies, effective from April 1. Earlier, individuals above 65 years of age were barred from purchasing new insurance policies, but now every individual, regardless of age, is eligible to buy mew health insurance policy.
