Samiksha Singh won the title of 1st Runner-Up and Mrs Dehradun in the Mrs India Planet 2023 Beauty pageant held recently in Delhi. Hailing from Dehradun, she has remained engaged in social activism campaigns aimed at environmental protection.

Speaking of her participation in the beauty pageant, she had said that it had evolved for her from a conventional beauty competition into a platform of unveiling inner beauty and passion for a social cause. It had changed the course of her life, she said and added that she was grateful to the organisers of the pageant, particularly its founder Preeti Vashisht Joshi, for initiating her in this life-transforming event.

The organisers of the pageant said that what had motivated her into putting up her best in the contest was her commitment to the cause of women empowerment and the uplift of the marginalised sections of the society.
