The leader of opposition (LoP) in the Vidhan Sabha Yashpal Arya has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed False Dreams to the people of Kumaon region during his visit to Pithoragarh and Jageshwar on Thursday. He said that the people were hoping that the PM would make some major announcements such as a rail link between Tanakpur and Bageshwar but they were disappointed. Arya said that the PM failed to make any announcement for Pithorahgarh which is suffering from disaster every year. He said that the BJP will use the photoshoot of the PM during the visit in the election campaign in the assembly elections of five States.
