A man reportedly committed Suicide after blaming the Police and his relatives for making him take the extreme step. A video has gone viral on social media in which the man from Dehradun’s Vikasnagar has alleged that he is committing suicide because he was harassed by his relatives and the local police. During the wee hours on Sunday, the authorities retrieved the body of a man from Shaktinagar. He was identified as Ajay (25), a resident of Vikasnagar who had jumped into Shaktinahar, as per the police. A video went viral on Sunday morning in which a man, who appears to be the said victim, moments before he jumped into the canal to commit suicide. He has stated in the video that many of his family members including his two uncles and their wives, his brother and his grandparents, allegedly harassed him to such an extent that he is now forced to commit suicide. He has mentioned the name of every family member who has allegedly harassed him. However, he has not clearly mentioned the details of why and how they were reportedly harassing him. He has also claimed in the video that he had called the police for help recently when a constable “Tyagi” came to his home but he was also on his relatives’ side and allegedly took ‘commission’ from them. He also said that his wife and child should be given his part in the family’s property after his death and also urged authorities to take action against people who forced him to commit suicide. He stated that his wife does not know about his decision to commit suicide but she can tell authorities how he was being troubled and harassed by others. Talking on the matter, a senior police officer said that the police are investigating the matter and if the allegations made by the deceased are proved to be true then action will be taken against the guilty parties.
