In latest Uttarakhand news, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas of Chamoli district. The State BJP chief Mahendra Bhatt and the Tharali MLA Bhupal Ram Tamta accompanied the CM during the aerial survey. After the aerial survey, while talking to the media persons at Gwaldam, the CM said that this season’s heavy and incessant showers had wreaked havoc across the State and added that  he had surveyed aerially Narainbagar, Tharali, Dewal and Gwaldam.  Many people in the district had been hit by landslides, house collapses and land erosion, he said and added that along with properties, crops had suffered extensive damages. He further said that the departmental officers concerned have been directed to prepare data of the damages caused by the rain spell. The Centre has been updated about the situation in the State and the State government is taking all possible steps to give relief to the disaster-hit people. The repairing/restoration works would be started once the rain stops, the CM said.
