IN latest news from Dehradun, the State tourism and PWD minister Satpal Maharaj paid a surprise visit to the State Archives located in Bhoopalpani and directed the officers to arrange an exhibition involving the records and pictures related to the Statehood Activists. He further asked them to ensure that the building is repaired, the toilets get cleaned and the documents/records kept there are appropriately preserved. He took note of the employees found absent and sought explanation. The minister said that he had received information that some important documents/ records are lying in the possession of a person living in Ramgarh in Nainital. He asked the officers to collect and preserve these.
