The additional superintendent of Police Chakradhar Anthwal will receive President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service on the occasion of Independence Day. Six police officers will also be felicitated with Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

These police officers are inspector general of police Vimmi Sachdeva, senior superintendent of police of Tehri, Navneet Singh, deputy superintendent of police, (Information) Yogesh Chand, sub inspector in Udham Singh Nagar police Bhupendra Singh Bhandari and sub inspector Ravindra Kumar Verma. Besides this, a fire service officer from Udham Singh Nagar Girish Singh Bisht and a fire service driver Dinesh Chandra Bhatt will also receive police medals for meritorious service.

The director general of police Ashok Kumar congratulated all officers for this prestigious honour and said that he is optimistic that the police personnel of the State will continue to get such honour for their hard work every year.
