The registrar of cooperative societies, Alok Pandey and other employees of the cooperation department participated in a plantation drive at the Miyanwala campus of the office on the occasion of Harela on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Pandey said that Harela not only gives a message of environmental protection and conservation but also is an indicator of the Rich Cultural Heritage of Uttarakhand. He said that the festival organised in the month of Shrawan gives a message that everyone should remain alert towards preserving the environment.
The officers and the employees of the cooperation department also took a pledge to preserve nature in the programme. The additional registrar Ira Upreti, Anand Shukla and others were present on the occasion.
