Due to the Inclement Weather forecast in the State, the BJP has postponed all its Lok Sabha level rallies except in Haridwar. The party’s State president Mahendra Bhatt said that the time gained by postponing the rallies should be used to make the door to door campaign more successful.

The BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that the party had planned to hold rallies in all five Lok Sabha Constituencies from June 27 to 30 in the State. However, considering the weather alert issued by the meteorological centre and the possibility of inclement weather the rallies in Tehri, Garhwal, Almora and Nainital Lok Sabha constituencies have been postponed.

The rally planned on June 28 at Roorkee in Haridwar constituency will be held as scheduled. The BJP State in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, BJP State chief Mahendra Bhatt and Haridwar MP and former CM Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ will address the rally.
