In breaking news Uttarakhand, the sub-inspector of Uttarakhand Police currently posted in Pauri Garhwal Puspendra Singh was killed in a ghastly road accident. Shock wave gripped the police force with the untimely death of the SI. The accident happened near Chidderwala on the Dehradun-Haridwar National Highway when Singh was riding on his two-wheeler with his friend. Police team reached the accident spot and rushed the injured duo to AIIMS Rishikesh. Singh succumbed to his injuries while being treated. Singh hailed from Laksar Haridwar. The condition of his friend is stated to be serious. The police station in-charge Kuldeep Pant said that the body of the SI has been sent for postmortem.
