 The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is all set to unveil the Statue of the first CDS of the country late Bipin Rawat. The members of Rawat’s family along with the ex Army officials and personnel would be present on the occasion. Meanwhile the state Soldier Welfare minister Ganesh Joshi had met the senior officials of soldier welfare department regarding the upcoming memorial of the first CDS of the country at Kanak Chowk in Dehradun. The minister had instructed the officials to give the final touches. The statue is 9 feet tall installed in the memorial. Speaking of the high stature the late CDS enjoys in the collective psyche of Uttatakhand, Joshi had said that the memorial dedicated to him would reflect the respect the people of the state have for him.
