CM Appeals Pvt Companies To Help In Edu & Health Sectors

Health ATMs & Truenat machines launched in the State under CSR activities of IOCL, Yes Bank & JK Tyres

 Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has appealed to the private companies to serve the people of Uttarakhand by helping in the sectors of Health, education and sanitation. He said that Uttarakhand is a small State and the private companies can create a model by serving the people of Devbhoomi in different areas. Dhami appealed to the Indian Oil Company Limited (IOCL) to help in generating employment in the State. 

The CM made the appeal after inaugurating the Health ATM installed by JK Tyres Limited Company and Yes Bank under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme at the State secretariat on Thursday. 

The Yes Bank has installed Health Atms each in dispensary of Secretariat, Vidhan Sabha dispensary and Tanakpur Hospital while the JK Tyre company has installed health ATMs at Police Line, JLN district hospital, District hospital Nainital, Joint hospital Tankarpur, Community Health Centre (CHC) Jaspur and Sub district hospital, Ranikhet Almora.

A total of 72 tests such as haemoglobin, TLC, DLC, blood sugar, Blood Pressure (BP), uric acid, cholesterol, HBAC, Blood Groups, lipid profile, Triglyceride , Lyco-protein, Pregnancy A  and kidney function tests can be done by general public free of cost in these ATMs.

 In this regard, an appeal has been made by the health department to the general public that they should take medicines on their own on the basis of the results of the investigation of these health ATMs.

Earlier on the day, the officers of the Health department, IOCL, Yes Bank and JK Tyres entered into a Memorandum of Understanding at the secretariat in the presence of CM . 

The CM also inaugurated 40 Truenat machines provided by the IOCL. These machines would be installed in all the blocks of the state under CSR activity of the IOCL. The tests of TB, Covid-19 and other diseases can be done by these machines. 

Dhami appreciated the IOCL, Yes Bank and the JK Tyres company for taking the initiative in the health sector in the State. He said the health ATMs and the Truenat machines would not only save time for the general public but would also save money. Dhami said that these machines would help in increasing the awareness towards health in the general public. People would now take better care of their health with the help of these machines. He said that the tourists visiting the State would also benefit from the facility. 

The health minister Dhan Singh Rawat, secretary R Rajesh Kumar, Director General (DG) health services Dr Vinita Shah, cluster head of Yes Bank Ajay Mishra, BP Semwal from IOCL and Ajay Kumar from JK Tyres were present on the occasion.
