Says that the state government is focussing on development of the infrastructural facilities and setting up oxygen plants in the hospitals of the state

The chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the task of vaccinating all the 6.28 lakh adolescent (15 to 18 years of age) population of the state with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine would be completed within a week. He was addressing a programme after inaugurating the new campus of the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Medical Education University at Central Hope Town in Selaqui here on Wednesday.

He said that the dedication and service of the doctors of the state during the pandemic of Covid 19 cannot be forgotten. The CM said that Indian scientists developed a vaccine against the Covid-19. He said that the state Government is committed to augment the health services and facilities on Uttarakhand. The CM said that the state government is focussing on development of the infrastructural facilities and setting up oxygen plants in the hospitals of the state.  He said that the Uttarakhand government has increased the number of seats in the government medical colleges and reduced the fee of the students. Dhami said that the stipend given to the MBBS interns too has been increased from Rs 7500 per month to Rs 17000. He said that the state government has taken up a target to develop Uttarakhand as one of the developed states of the country.

The CM assured the road connecting the campus of the university would be broadened.

The cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi, local MLA Sahdev Singh Pundir, Vice Chancellor (VC) of HNB medical education university Dr Hemchandraa, Principal of Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) Dr Ashutosh Sayana and others were present on the occasion.
