BJP summons four MLAs including Negi for explanation

Regarding the case of alleged sexual exploitation committed by BJP MLA from Dwarahat, Mahesh Negi, the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has stated that the law should be allowed to take its course. Meanwhile, the party has summoned four Mlas Including Negi on August 24 to explain their side on issues related to their actions.

Interacting with the media persons here on Saturday, the CM said that getting MLA Negi’s DNA test conducted as is being demanded by the Congress is not in the hands of the government. He said, “It is a legal process which should be followed. The MLA has stated that he is ready. The case is being processed by the police and will go to the court. The court will decide about the DNA test. There are some issues which can be resolved only through technical means.We have our constitution, various laws related to women and children. I believe that the law should be allowed to take its course,” said the CM.

On the other hand, on the directions of the BJP state president Banshidhar Bhagat, the party has summoned four MLAs Including Negi to explain themselves to the party leadership on August 24. BJP state vice president Devendra Bhasin informed that the MLAs summoned for explanations include Mahesh Negi, Deshraj Karnwal, Puran Singh Fartyal and Pranav Singh ‘Champion’ who had earlier been suspended from the party for a period of six years.
