In an event organized at Doon University on Saturday, the Public Relation Council of India (PRCI) launched its 32nd chapter in Dehradun. Students along with faculty members and experts were present during the occasion. Author Roshen Dalal and senior journalist Jaskiran Chopra were given Award of Excellence for their contribution in the field of literature.

Addressing the audience during the event Doon University vice-chancellor CS Nautiyal said, “The technology today is changing very rapidly in one go we are able to browse many things. Flow of information on social media platforms is getting very fast with each passing day . In such a changing technology landscape there is a need for more active industry-academic partnership.”
Sharing vision about the launch the Head of Department of Media and Communication Studies, Rajesh Kumar said, “The opening of PRCI chapter here marks the growth of Public Relations. We will set-up Young Communication Club (YCC) in various universities to help students work and grow on live projects.”
Announcing the launch, the Senior Vice President of the PRSI, C J Singh said, “Public relation is a management discipline and needs profession communicators. The opening of this chapter in Dehradun will help the students to acquire newer insights and skills from the professions. It will also help the organization and institutions to take professional guidance in their business growth.”
