Widow, family bid teary farewell along with leaders & masses
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that a dependent of martyr major Vibhuti Shankar Dhoundiyal will be provided a Government job based on educational qualification. Rawat also visited the martyr’s Dangwal Marg residence to pay tribute to the fallen soldier. A large number of people and public representatives were also present on the occasion. The martyr’s widow Nikita Kaul and family members bid a teary farewell to the major. “I request everyone not to sympathise, rather be very strong because this man holds a position really larger than anyone of us standing here….So, let’s salute this man- Jai Hind,” said Nikita while paying her tribute to him.
The martyr’s mortal remains were cremated with full honours at Haridwar. Earlier, laying a wreath at the martyr’s coffin, the Chief Minister also met the bereaved family members and expressed his condolence.
Rawat said that the people of the State stand with the martyr’s family in this time of sorrow. Along with a large number of locals, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat, Cabinet Minister Arvind Pande, MLAs Ganesh Joshi, Munna Singh Chauhan, Khajan Das, Pritam Singh and Dehradun mayor Sunil Uniyal also paid their tributes to the martyr.
