The vice-chancellor of the Doon University, C S Nautiyal said that the research should always be based on the original subject and such research works which have potential to help society should be promoted.

He was addressing an inaugural session on research methodology at school of management of the University on Monday.

The ten-day seminar is being organised by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).

He said that in the rapidly changing economic scenario of the world, practical and analytical research is needed in the sphere of social science.

Management Guru, Alok Saklani said that advent of modern technology has proved to be a boon to the research scholars.

Former VC of HNB Garhwal University S C Bagri highlighted importance of year -wise and subject-wise compilation of research works of the past so that proper research and analysis is done.
