On Thursday, Lithuania reported a record 3,799 new cases of Covid-19, exceeding the previous record set on Wednesday. Forty-three people have also died of Covid-19.

Some 4,572 people have also recovered over the past 24 hours. In total, 61,553 people are still ill with the virus, and 60,559 have recovered.

In all, 1,186 people have died of Covid-19 in Lithuania so far, and another 591 coronavirus-infected patients have died of other causes.

The country has done 1,559,023 tests for Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, including 13,913 over the past 24 hours.

Of all tests done over the past seven days, 22.4 percent came back positive.
