DOVE BULLETIN reported that the Alaafin of Oyo died on Friday, at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.
The monarch was 83 and reigned for 52 years, which made him the longest serving monarch in the State.
Some Nigerians took to social media, describing his death as a colossal loss to the Yoruba land, adding that he was a role model to all.
His death is coming at a time when Oyo State lost two monarchs: the Olubadan of Ibadan and the the Soun of Ogbomoso.
