No hit song beats ‘My Own’ – Samini declares

Veteran Ghanaian musician Samini Dagati says no current song in the music scene can surpass the popularity of his 2017 hit track, ‘My Own.’

The award-winning singer declared that his single stands out among all other songs released by the top brass in the industry indicating the impact of the Song as well as it’s popularity among all demographics in the country.

He stated there was no song from top artistes like Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, and Sarkodie which had done well to supersede ‘My Own.’

Samini emphasized that this statement was not meant as a jab to the younger artists and clarified that he was referring to the established figures in the industry.

“There’s no Hit Song in space. No hit song can beat ‘My Own’ right now. No disrespect to the ‘kids.’ Don’t get me wrong. We are talking about the four ‘S'[Samini, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie.” he said on his appearance on the Day Show on TV3.

However, Samini extended his best wishes to Stonebwoy for his latest album and expressed his fondness for the track titled ‘Into the Future.’
