My adventure kicked off at Number One Oxford Street, and from there, I swept into a whirlwind of sights and sounds that define Accra’s unique character. My first stop was the Koala Shopping Center. This haven is your go-to for everyday essentials. It’s a place where you can find anything you need, from groceries to household items.

My journey then leads us to the Caesar Casino, where the excitement never ceases. The night view from here is a sight to behold, with Accra’s sparkling lights creating a mesmerizing atmosphere. Walking down Oxford Street feels like exploring a vibrant tapestry of culture and commerce. Colourful stalls adorned with African prints beckon, with prices ranging from 150 to 250 cedis. These fabrics tell stories of tradition and identity, and each piece is a unique work of art.

Art enthusiasts, prepare to be enchanted. Along the way, I discover exquisite artworks on display, each telling its own captivating story. As I delve deeper into my exploration, I stumble upon a delightful surprise – a fresh coconut stand. The sight of the coconuts awakened my thirst, and sipping the sweet coconut water was pure bliss.

My journey continues, and I noticed the organizations that have made Oxford Street their home. Places like Chocolate Sarayi, renowned for its delicious treats, beckon to us. Next, I encounter the famous Frankie’s, a beloved spot on Oxford Street. My path leads us to the Art Africa Gallery, currently hosting an exhibition that is a must-see for art enthusiasts and culture lovers alike.

ShopRite stands tall as the ultimate shopping destination, a place where you can find everything your heart desires. Lastly, I can’t help but reminisce about my childhood memories as I spot Papaye. This iconic eatery holds a special place in the hearts of many Ghanaians, a place where memories were made.

My stroll down Oxford Street was a beautiful journey through culture, commerce, and community. This bustling street truly encapsulates the spirit of Accra, where tradition and modernity harmoniously coexist. It is a place where old and new blend seamlessly, creating an atmosphere that is uniquely Accra.
