This is uncharacteristic of Adisadel students – Palgrave decries violence video

Government Spokesperson on Governance and Security Dr Palgrave Boakye-Danquah has condemned the action of some students of his alma mater, Adisadel College, captured in a video gone viral.

In the video, two students are seen with one holding tightly the neck of the other and hitting his (victim’s) head against the metallic bed frame. Immediately, the victim’s face gets swollen. There were some other students around looking on with the taker of the video believed to be a Student as well.

The Abuakwa North Parliamentary Candidate hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says the “murderous” behaviour of the students in the video is uncharacteristic of Santaclausians.

“I haven’t followed much of what happens in my alma mater since I completed about 22 years ago,” he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday, July 25, “but for the regular school WhatsApp groups.”

He, nonetheless, indicated: “I’m sure this viral video showing either a bullying incident and murderous behavior is very uncharacteristic of Adisadel College students.

“We held our school ode and anthem in such great esteem that it guided our behavior.”

Condemning the act in no uncertain terms, Dr Boakye-Danquah said the legacy of his 2001 year group to provide CCTv cameras in all houses will begin.

He said this project will “ensure that our children are kept safe in the school”.

Dr Boakye-Danquah wished the injured student well.

The school’s administration has since launched investigations into the incident, suspending officials and students alike.
