Odarky Andy of TV3 Mentor One fame has disclosed that his Cousin Okyeame Kwame has only helped him by recording a single with him because the Woso composer was busy with his personal music career.

Andy further justifies his claim with the fact that Okyeame Kwame was also working towards the release of his album at that time with his ‘BRADEZ’, so he could not help him promote his single and has not received any form of support from him since then.

The singer in an interview with Nana Adwoa Arthur on Connect 97.1FM stated he single-handedly released the song titled ‘Pretty Girl’ featuring Okyeame Kwame in 2014 which had little promotion by friends in the media.

It did not get the needed resources for a music video, he added.

Odarky Andy, who has been absent from the music scene for eight years, revealed he almost got overridden by a Nigerian Record Label due to the negative comments some Ghanaians passed on social media about past musicians and their careers.

He mentioned he and his colleagues at the time of TV3 Mentor I only had the exposure since there wasn’t any growing social media and other resources to push them, and some of his fellow contestants quit music.

Also, he added, the industry has become very competitive and artistes have to struggle their way out to stay relevant.

Andy acknowledged that although TV3 Mentor gave him exposure and fame, it is nearly becoming unbearable since he is attached to it while struggling to establish himself as a personal brand and would like to be known as Odarky.

He also made it known that his major challenge in his career is not having a solid record label to work with and is looking forward to getting support soon.

The ‘KONKONSA’ hitmaker also appealed to Media General to help contestants with a production team or management to succeed.

Odarky recently released a single titled ‘Superwoman’ which is available on all digital platforms.

Andy announced his Konkonsa remix with Fameye to be released soon.
