On Saturday night, boxing lovers in Accra were treated to some storming contests as some future stars traded thrilling punches at Besesaka Foundation’s 4th juvenile boxing night.

There were 30 fights in one night as representatives from 15 Boxing gyms squared off at Mantse Agbona in James Town.

Young boxers arrived and performed admirably, with fans’ favourite Mohammed Ablorh from the Cassava Boxing Gymnasium winning his bout in an impressive time of 45 seconds.

Young sensations Millicent Doodo and Ebenezer Osafo were named the tournament’s best female and male boxers, respectively, while Felix Quarshie was named the night’s discovery and Georgina Abbey was named Best Loser.

Dauda Fuseni, Vice President of the Ghana Boxing Federation, Dr Ofori Asare, Head Coach of Ghana’s National Boxing Team, Emmanuel Ogura and Theophilus Quartey, both Right to Dream graduates, were among the dignitaries who graced the well-organized event.

Besesaka continues to develop the next generation of leaders in Bukom through their famous project, which aims to develop several boxing champions for Ghana.

Besesaka, in collaboration with Delegate A/S, Pink Elephant, will award 14 boys and girls scholarships that will include full academic support, elite boxing training, and leadership development.

The team is excited to welcome two new students for the upcoming academic year in 2023.

A citation of honour was presented to Jakob Schou, the Chief Executive of Delegate A/S.
