A 4.8-Magnitude Earthquake struck west of Manhattan, with the epicenter located in central New Jersey, causing tremors felt throughout New York City. The last earthquake of this magnitude occurred in 2011. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed that President Joe Biden has been briefed on the latest developments regarding the earthquake.

Mayor Adams’s office has confirmed that he will hold a press briefing at noon.
