LIHEAP And Share The Warmth Programs: Options for struggling Illinois residents to get help with energy bills

CHICAGO— Illinois residents struggling to pay their utility bills may be eligible for two assistance programs – Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and Share the Warmth. CEDA’s LIHEAP offers assistance with heat and electricity bills, while Peoples Gas Share the Warmth program offers up to $200 towards past due Peoples Gas bills. Both programs are managed by CEDA.
