Boris Johnson is running out of friends, running out of options and running out of time

Boris Johnson tells lies. He may just call for the snap general Election in September.

Lynton Crosby, the polling guru, known as The Wizard of Oz, is back at Number 10. He’s been there for over two weeks now. This highly paid individual who led the Conservatives to election victory in 2015 does not waste time on small talk. When Crosby shows up at the No 10, he means business. That is what makes people think there will be a general election.

The Conservatives have declared that winning would require an 80/20 strategy for the next election. That means to defend the 80 most marginal seats they hold and attack 20 with small majorities they don’t. Those seats had to have their general election campaign plans in by the June 30th. That was last week.

“Boris would not want a general election when the students are at their university as it concentrates their votes in certain areas and because they tend to vote Labour. Students in the UK can vote either at home or at their University. An influx of 25 000 or more predominately young left-of-centre voters can swing a seat at a general election. The universities start going back in October; thus Boris needs to have the election in September. He can’t have it really in August, because of the holidays, school holidays and people going away on holiday. Ideally, it needs to be September,” a senior source in the UK government told The Pavlovic Today.

“If he has the election in September, that will neutralize the Privileges Committee inquiry. The privilege committee investigation into whether he lied to Parliament or not over the parties at Downing Street. This is because  he will have a new mandate if he wins, and if he loses, Boris will have his revenge on all the disloyal MPs in his party as many of them will have lost their seats.”

Johnson believes that without him, the Conservative Party would be destroyed

Sources in Westminster believe that if Boris Johnson loses the election, he would go to America “where he’s still popular” and make a “fortune” writing books and giving speeches. Johnson thinks that without him, the Conservative Party would be destroyed. Boris believes that the Conservative Party is “his” party. This is similar to Donald Trump who believes the Republican Party is his party.

“That’s the mentality,” a Labour source told The Pavlovic Today.

Boris Johnson’s chances of survival due to being found not to have lied to Parliament, are estimated by most informed sources as extremely slim. The Privileges Committee inquiry will be chaired by Labour veteran Harriet Harman. The committee is expected to report on Johnson’s conduct in November. “Anything with better odds than that, as a general election is, he’s going to take it,” said a source in the UK government familiar with Johnson’s  thinking.

If Boris Johnson wins the general election, the issue with the privilege committee will be gone as the electorate would have given him a new post-Partygate mandate to govern.

But that’s not all there is to Johnson’s strategy for the general election.

“If Keir Starmer, leader of the Labour, gets a fine next week, it will trigger further political instability in the opposition Party. Both Starmer and the deputy leader Angela Rayner have said they’ll resign if fined. That makes election more likely because the Labour Party leadership will be effectively decapitated and the party plunged into chaos. They normally take a few months to get a new leader. They’d have to get it down to a week or so. You got a Labour Party with new leaders, no policies, no nothing,” said the source in the Whitehall.

Johnson will do anything to stay in power

Is Boris Johnson capable of doing that to stay in power? “Yes, absolutely,” said a member of the 1922 Committee.

Boris Johnson was asked in an interview for LBC on Friday if a snap election would be ridiculous? “Yes “, he said, but as we know, “Boris Johnson tells lies. Just like when he said, he didn’t know anything specific about  the historic sexual assault allegations against disgraced former deputy chief whip Chris Pincher” the source concluded.

The great campaigner Boris Johnson might well just roll the dice and call the snap election while Parliament is in recess this summer. Forcing his increasingly mutinous MPs into a risky election is probably Johnson’s only option to stay in power.
