Journalists wrongly assume that the the public turns to Twitter for news

A recent Pew Research Center survey of Journalists, editors and other media employees found that 69% of the US journalists turn to Twitter for news. However, there is a disconnect between the industry and the public.

31% of adults in the USA use Facebook for news, and 22% use YouTube.

Only 13% say they use Twitter.
