Despite his party’s defeat in two by-elections, PM Boris Johnson does not see last week’s results as a signal that he should step down. He has revealed he is “actively thinking about a third term” despite the criticism of his leadership. Johnson said he plans to continue as Prime Minister until 2030.

The Prime Minister spoke to the press as he arrived at a summit of G7 leaders in Germany and said he wants to “continue to deliver as much as we possibly can.”
Johnson said that he believes that what his Government is doing is “remarkable.”

Johnson said in an interview for ITV News that he understood that ” people are going to want to criticize me, attack me for all sorts of reasons, some of them good, some of them less good. I think what people were saying they were pretty fed up hearing an awful lot of stuff about me as individual rather than what matters to them as voters.”

Boris Johnson has been hit by a new wave of no-confidence letters by the members of the Conservative Party on Sunday night.
