Nevena Bridgen Shares Her Talent With The World With An Homage To Puccini’s Aria “Vissi D’arte”

To “honor Tosca and Puccini as one of the most valuable composers of Italian opera and Verismo,” international soprano Nevena Bridgen and Allegretto String Quartet released on Friday, January 14, 2022 a sophisticated music video to mark 122 years since Tosca’s debut. 

“I am over the moon happy to share with you the music video for Puccini’s aria Vissi d’arte I perform with Allegretto SQ,” said Nevena Bridgen. “I got to work with super talented video director and DoP Filip Stojanovic and create magic! I loved every second of it! With this spectacular video we honor today 122 years since Tosca premiered in Rome on January 14th, 1900.”

ABOUT NEVENA BRIDGEN

Nevena Bridgen is Principal  Soloist of the Opera at the National Theater of Belgrade, founded in 1868.

Nevena Bridgen was born in Belgrade, Serbia, at a time in which the land was still a part of Yugoslavia. She was first discovered sharing her talent of singing in bomb shelters during the NATO bombing.

Later, she went on to study at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

Nevena performs leading roles, such as ‘Mimi’ from La Boheme, ‘Tatyana’ from Onegin, ‘Micaela’ from Carmen and ‘Euridice’ from Orfeo ed Euridice, just to name a few, and is currently preparing to debut in roles of ‘Elvira’ in Don Giovanni, ‘Desdemona’ in Otello, ‘Manon’ from Manon Lescaut, Lisa from Queen of Spades.
