Administration of the recently initiated Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and Government of Adamawa State, have achieved a consent to cooperate for peace and advance of the State.

They touched base at this agreement today when the state CAN authority, drove by their Chairman, Archbishop Dami Mamza, came to Government House Yola, on a courtesy visit.

The Governor of Adamawa State, Sen Mohammed Umar Jibrilla Bindow, helped the CAN authority to remember the need to cooperate with their Muslim partner to realize enduring peace and advance in Adamawa State.

He focused on that "religious bodies are not political parties but could collaborate with the present administration in terms of offering meaningful advise and prayers."
In a short comment, Deputy Governor, Martin Babale, said the solidarity among Christians is additionally reinforced by the way the new officials have drawn in the Christian people group, as well as Muslims too.

Talking prior, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Archbishop Stephen Dami Mamza, said the reason for the visit was to present the new authority and sympathize with the Governor and individuals of Adamawa state over the current bomb impact in Mubi and the killings in a few groups of Numan Local Government Area.

He engaged the Governor to utilize his office to resuscitate the Intereligious board in the state considering the essential part being played by the body in the regions of peace and solidarity among disciples of the two religions.

The CAN Chairman told the Governor that, not long after supposition, CAN authority has gone by the Adamawa State Muslim Council and had dialogs, with the point of upgrading solidarity and peace in the state.
