Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday expressed their condolences over the School Bus Accident in Haryana’s Mahendragarh that claimed the lives of six children and prayed for the speedy recovery of those who were injured.

Expressing his condolence to the families who lost their children, PM Modi said that the bus accident in Mahendragarh was extremely painful. Along with that, the Prime Minister prayed for the speedy recovery of all the injured children. Under the supervision of the State government, the local administration has been engaged in providing all possible help to the victims and their families, PM Modi said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Earlier in the day, the Union Home Minister also took to X and said that he was saddened by the accident that took six lives of children in Haryana’s Mahendragarh. Expressing his condolence to the bereaved families of the deceased children, he said the local administration is providing help to the injured children. He wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, expressing his condolence to the families of the deceased, said that the accident was painful and unfortunate. He wished for the speedy recovery of the children who were injured in the accident in Mahendragarh.

Earlier today, six children were killed and as many as 15 injured after a private School Bus carrying them lost control and overturned in the Kanina area of Mahendragarh district in Haryana.

After the incident, students were rushed to the Nihal Hospital in Mahendragarh district in the State.

A student, who suffered injuries after a private school bus met with an accident in Mahendragarh’s Kanina, said that the driver was drunk and he kept the speed at 120 which led to a misbalance.

Earlier in the day, Mahendragarh District Collector Monika Gupta said that it had come to notice that this was a private school which was being run even on a holiday and action would be taken. Six casualties have been reported, she added.

Treatment of the injured children is going on. Now there is no danger to anyone’s life. The government is providing them with the best possible treatment. There was also a lack of documents in the vehicle, so an FIR is being lodged against the school administration as well, Gupta said while speaking to reporters.
