Amit Sharma-helmed Maidaan, which was one of the most anticipated films of the year, starring Ajay Devgan in the lead role, had a pre-release ahead of its main release, which is scheduled for April 11. The makers of Maidaan organised a pre-release of the Film for critics and the media for review.

The makers are successful, as Maidaan is getting positive reviews from critics. Now fans are thrilled to see Ajay as a sports coach.

However, as the film is yet to be released, Maidaan is already trending on social media, as the fans of Ajay Devgan are booking their seats in advance so that they have the best experience. The total advance collection for the film currently stands at Rs 27 lakh.

Meanwhile, the film is based on the life of Syed Abdul Rahim, a football coach, and the occasions leading up to India’s win in the Asia Games in 1962. In addition to Ajay, Priya Mani can be seen playing Ajay’s wife, while Gajraj Rao can be seen playing a journalist in the film. The team also includes a number of new players, such as Madhur Mittal from Slumdog Millionaire and Chaitnya Sharma, also known as SlowCheeta.

The dreams, difficulties, and successes of coach Syed Abdul Rahim—better known as SA Rahim—are all portrayed in the film. Along with trying to assemble an unbreakable team, the coach has to contend with the football association, a journalist on the defensive, and even protesters. All of this is to use football to help put India on the map of the globe.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh referred to the Ajay Devgn-starrer film as power-packed and stated that it is, without doubt, one of the finest sports-based films made in India.

According to the critics, Miadaan brings back emotions that we once felt while watching Chak De! India.
