Sunday saw the unveiling of the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi’s (BRS) manifesto for the 2023 assembly elections by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. A number of promises have been made by the ruling BRS party for the next Telangana Assembly Elections.

A few of these commitments include increasing the amount of the social security pension, giving farmers more money through the Rythu Bandhu investment support scheme, and offering LPG cylinders for Rs 400 each.

BRS leader and chief minister KCR pledged to give all 93 lakh families in the state living below the poverty line (BPL) life insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakh when he released the party manifesto for the elections scheduled for November 30. The premium for this life insurance will be paid by the government.

According to Rao, for the next five years, the Rs 2,016 monthly social security stipend will be increased to Rs 5,000. In the first year following the BRS’s return to power, the manifesto states that it will rise to Rs 3,016; during the next four years, it will rise progressively to Rs 5,000.

The list of 115 candidates for the Telangana assembly elections has already been released by the ruling BRS. KCR is running for office a third time in a row. He is scheduled to begin an intense political campaign this evening. He intends to speak at forty-one public gatherings in the span of twenty-four hours; the campaign is set to end on November 9. KCR’s determination to run for reelection in the next elections can be seen by this massive campaign.

On November 30, the 119-member Telangana legislative assembly will have elections, and on December 3, the votes will be counted.  The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Congress, and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), which is now in power, are anticipated to be the main rivals.
