A Chetak Helicopter from the Indian Air Force made an Emergency Landing on Sunday at Holagadh near Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj, according to reports. The incident took place at around 10:40 am on Saturday. Reports stated that no injuries or harm was caused due the landing of the helicopter.

The Indian Air Force helicopter was on a Routine Training Mission. On social media platform X, formerly Twitter, the Central Air Command of the IAF asserted that one Chetak helicopter of the IAF, on a routine training mission carried out a safe precautionary landing at 1040h at Holagadh near Prayagraj. It added that no harm or injuries were reported. The helicopter has been flown back to base after providing necessary technical assistance, the post added.

Reportedly, the IAF aircraft was flown back to the Air Force base after necessary technical assistance was provided by an Army engineering unit who had reached the spot and conducted a technical inspection.

Few days ago, an Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter made an emergency landing in Assam’s Dhubri district and then again in Barpeta after some time. A defence official stated that the chopper was carrying a few personnel and had gone to Dhubri for some work.

Speaking on the matter, an IAF official from Eastern Air Command headquarters in Shillong refused to comment and stated that she did not have information on the development. As per state government officials, the chopper had around a dozen occupants and some of them disembarked when it made an emergency landing at a field near Chapar in Dhubri.

The official further added that there were two pilots when the chopper landed in Barpeta and both of them are fine. Meanwhile, hundreds of villagers had surrounded the chopper out of curiosity and police hurried to the spot to control the situation.
