Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Bput Tech Carnival 2023 at the IMMT Auditorium. He addressed the students of BPUT and dignitaries. Patnaik said technology is the pivot of India’s future. India’s well being and growth is dependent on the hold on emerging and advanced technologies. He told the students should keep themselves engaged with the latest technology.

Patnaik said the Biju Patnaik University of technology is a pre eminent institution in the field of technical education. The institution has produced many brilliant technocrats whose contribution has been immense to the development of the Odisha and nation development.

Patnaik said Odisha has made great strides in the skill development of its youth. This in turn has provided the youth of the state with good employment opportunities. He added BPUT has helped in transforming Odisha into the skill capital of the world.

The Odisha CM said the World Skill Centre is a premier institute which provides advanced skill training in many trades. Patnaik added the BPUT tech festival has been conceived to engage students in sports, cultural and technical activities. He felt happy to announce that the event will be a calendar event to appreciate and acknowledge dedication, sincerity and hard work of the students.

The Odisha CM inaugurated a poster and web portal of the event as well. Skill development Minister Pritiranjan Gharai said Odisha has become the epicentre of technical education. He added the students are receiving quality technical education not only in Odisha but students from all over the country are coming here for their higher education.

Registrar Nishi Punam Minz , BPUT vice chancellor Amiya Kumar Rath, Principal Secretary Skill Development & Technical Education Usha Padhi and Secretary to CM (5-T) VK Pandian were also present at the function
