Pro-Khalistani graffiti written on walls of Delhi’s Kashmiri Gate flyover, case registered

Amidst escalating diplomatic standoff between India and Canada over the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, pro-Khalistani graffiti was found written on the walls of the Kashmiri Gate Flyover on Wednesday. According to reports, the Delhi Police have removed the graffiti and lodged a case under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The incident occurred at Kashmiri Gate Flyover on September 27. Notably, this follows after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) initiated a massive crackdown against the Khalistani terrorists and their associates at over 51 locations in the country on Wednesday.

As far as reports are concerned, the raids were conducted in more than four dozen locations namely Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand and adjoining areas of Delhi-NCR.

On the other hand, in the last few weeks, the ties between India and Canada hit a new low after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau blamed the Indian government agents over the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The Canadian Prime Minister asserted that his government had credible evidence linking the murder of NIjjar to the Indian agents.

However, Justin Trudeau also said that his country wants to work constructively with India and hope that New Delhi engages with them so that they can get to the bottom of this very serious matter. Meanwhile, India has repeatedly denied claims of receiving any intel regarding the allegations from Canada.

India debunked Justin Trudeau’s statement deeming the allegations of the Government of India’s involvement in any act of violence in Canada as both absurd and motivated. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued a statement regarding the allegations and stated that they have seen and rejected the statement made by the Canadian Prime Minister in their Parliament. It added that they also rejected the statement made by their Foreign Minister.
